Mo Abdullah-Lavalette

Commencing his career as an architectural draftsman in the year 2002 after completing hi Diploma of Building Design and Drafting, Mo quickly found that his passion, skills and interest were positioned for architectural design. He commenced the Bachelor of Architecture in 2008 and undertook his academia part-time whilst working contract work on a full-time basis as a sole practitioner until the end of 2013. With 16 years of industry experience established; Mo registered as an Architect, anchoring his status as a highly valuable, qualified, and technically advanced individual; exceeding in detail and BIM technical abilities.

Since joining Donovan Payne in 2013, Mo has serviced a large variety of local government projects; including aquatic and recreation centres, community centres, administration offices with previous experience in hotels and restaurants, hospitals and prisons. He has brought forward his wealth of technical ability and advanced administration skills to the Team of Donovan Payne in becoming a valuable member of practice.

When away from his workstation, Mo takes great interest in future technologies and its implementation in Architectural design. He has introduced 3D printing and architectural model making to Donovan Payne bringing an inhouse ability to create conceptual design ideas in a physical form to liaise with clients. Mo was introduced to Virtual Reality (VR) in 2018 and begun to implement this technology into the office for use during design and presentations allowing a whole other level to experience the architectural process. He is also a keen disc golfer when he wants to get away from the technology cave.
